Program Overview

The first in a series of professional learning opportunities, ASEE and AEEE are excited to announce a webinar designed to support educators in adding depth and authenticity to their secondary engineering programs or courses, through the newly released Framework for P-12 Engineering Learning. The Engineering Performance Matrices (EPMs) have been developed through several years of research and stakeholder engagement to provide scaffolded blueprints for learning and assessing engineering concepts to achieve engineering literacy. Through this session, participants will:

  • Receive access to free instructional resources such as the Framework for P-12 Engineering Learning and the newly created EPMs.
  • Explore how these resources can supplement and complement related STEM standards.
  • Gain a sharper understanding of how core and sub-concepts of engineering may be related and how they may build upon each other in order to influence more immediate and purposeful instructional practice.
  • Hear from district leaders and teachers on how the framework has impacted their teaching and students engineering learning.
